Canada Day Classic Cruisers

Crank Handle
I’m still playing catch-up with my posts . . . having had two birthdays in the house so far this month has slowed down my posting a bit, although I have managed to get out and take some good photos.

Today I’d like to share some of the ones I took on Canada Day – every year, Fort St. John holds a Canada Day parade, and this year, as in the past several years, this has included a display of classic cars. From a lovingly restored, immaculate Model-T Ford, to a Chevy Bel-Air, a Corvette and even a Delorean, our classic car show had it all. Including gloriously hot, sunny weather to show the vehicles off in.

RCMP Musical Ride in Fort St. John - July 11th, 2013

RCMP Musical Ride in Fort St. John – July 11th, 2013

Twenty years ago, the RCMP Musical Ride was in Fort St. John, a month after I returned to Canada. Last week, they came back, and I got to share the experience with our children. It was a long wait for the show to start, but they thought it was awesome. And not just because they all like horses. Their favourite manouevers were the Maze, the Wagonwheel and the Charge. Which is funny, because those are my favourites too.
